Fani-Kayode Reacts To Governors’ Visit To Buhari, Says President Shouldn’t Be Tourist Attraction
Despite the trending photo op of seven governors’ visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, anticipated by many to silence critics like Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of Aviation has advised the President, who had been on medical leave in London since May 7, to throw in the towel.
Writing on his Twitter handle on Thursday, Fani-Kayode maintained that “It is an act of cruelty to expect this poor man to lead a nation of 180 million.Let him resign, go home and rest!”
In an apparent reaction to the visit of the governors from six geopolitical zones lead by Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara to Buhari in London, the ex-minister said, “The President/Presidency is not meant to be a tourist attraction,a museum of old fossils or a mausoleum of decaying bodies to be viewed by curious dignitaries in a distant foreign land.”
